 APT PROGRAM OVERVIEW
2010 Dates: Semester 1: February 15 - June 24
Semester 2: New Intakes July 3 - Dec 2; Students continuing from Semester 1 Jul 26-Dec 2
Integrated Cert III & IV Learning Program
These qualifications are offered as full time, AUSTUDY-eligible vocational training course. There are 2 intakes per year, in February and in July. Each semester covers the same foundation study program including the Permaculture Design Course (PDC), however some elective modules are only offered once a year.
 The integrated Cert III/IV program is built on the common set of underlying knowledge and skills central to both qualifications and includes the PDC (Permaculture Design Course). The program also contains dedicated sessions and modules specific to each certificate level. The first study semester involves accelerated training in knowledge and skills for the core units and most course electives.The second study semester continues with practical training, group project work, short modules, workshops, and self-directed and mentored project, research and practical work to complete unit requirements for end of course assessment.
Semester 1 – participation in Cert IV core program and PDC (Permaculture Design Course) plus diploma design workshops and tutorials to complete training for diploma core units and some electives
Semester 2 – intensive short modules, master class workshops and tutorials for electives, mentored self-directored individual and group research and project work and planning internships and project work for 3rd Semester
Semester 3 – internship placements and project work to complete unit requirements.
