Join us at Djanbung Gardens on Saturday June 9 for an inspiring day full of fascinating workshops and talks on practical earth-friendly living, traditional crafts, forgotten arts and permaculture ideas. Enjoy strolling around the gardens or catch a guided tour. The day will also feature interesting displays and stalls with plants, books and produce for sale.
Presentations and workshops will cover diverse topics including natural vegetable dyes, growing and making natural fibres, fibre to fabric, permaculture tips for buying land, how to grow food year-round, incredible edible tubers and perennial vegetables, bamboo crafting and more to be confirmed.
Abundance Café will be open with delicious lunches and refreshments made from fresh garden and local produce. The café boasts that over 90% of ingredients are sourced within 35km of Nimbin.
This will be the 14th annual open day at Djanbung Gardens and will raise funds for Permaculture Australia and the local Permaculture College. Entry is by donation ($5 recommended). Open Day 10am – 3pm, Saturday 9th June.
Djanbung Gardens, designed by Robyn Francis, has a global reputation as a leading permaculture education centre and is conveniently located at 74 Cecil St, Nimbin, just past the Nimbin showgrounds.
