Polly Kulcha

After a couple of weeks just chilling out and getting ready for the PDC (Permaculture Design Course), it’s all go here, the course has started. I watched as people started to arrive and wow, there was 20 people that  I counted. There was a few of them come over to say hello to me. I’m never going to remember all their names.  The course lasts for 2 weeks. It’s intensive, with lots of subjects covered, including soil.  They will be using my animal system to make compost, in other words they will be using my Polly Poo to help make the garden’s compost.

So far I’ve met a few of the students personally, I’ve been given my breakfast and dinner from Nick & hmm see I’ve forgotten already, still I’ll try to remember for tomorrow.

The students do morning warming up dance & song wake up exercises. I’ve been distracted by there laughter & singing, so I’ve been watching, it’s been entertaining.

I’ve also been distracted by the cockerel cockadoodeldooing at midnight for the last couple of nights. The dogs in the area have been noisy too. I’m putting it down to the full moon. It wouldn’t be so bad but the cockerel is near me and once it starts, the rest of the cockerels in the whole of Nimbin start to cockadoodledoo as well. So needless to say, they have been keeping me awake.

I’ve got the white chickens next to me now in the chicken pen, they are soo big now and eat so much. The students collected chicken poo today to make fungus compost, I tried to watch from my garden but couldn’t quite see, I could hear them though.

Anyway, time to go to bed, it’s been a long day in the Permaculture Polly World. With any luck I’ll see Robyn & the students tomorrow morning as usual.
