About the trainer: Brett Parsons
Brett is passionate about working with natural materials and creating functional beauty with masonry in the landscape. He started young, helping his bricklayer dad from the age of 10, then after an apprenticeship as a mechanic unhappy working in grease and exhaust fumes, he joined his brother’s paving business. He then moved into tiling, concreting, landscaping and eventually started his own landscape business with high-end clients in Brisbane. Brett discovered the joy of stone masonry while constructing a large sandstone wall for a ‘Big Brother’ set, and spent time working with Blue Mountains basalt before returning to Brisbane working in civil construction projects. Brett now enjoys sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience, passing on the skills to empower others to do it themselves.
