Our annual Open Day is something special this year to celebrate Djanbung Gardens’ 20th anniversary. Join Coster, Robyn Francis and lots of permie friends for an inspiring day of workshops, displays, demonstrations, tours, stalls and entertainment.
The day will commence at 10am with a welcome to country and official opening of the Earthling Expo, then Coster will launch the new Garden Cafe at Djanbung with fine-food permie chef, Melian Fertl.
Workshops, talks and presentations will be conducted on a wide range of topics by present and past students, teachers, members of our bioregional network of earth activists and special guests.Program details will posted here closer to the date.
Yummy food and drinks featuring local and garden produce will be available throughout the day.

The day’s theme is about celebrating our capacity to heal the the earth, to regenerate the land and create resilient communities, and share our abundance of creativity, knowledge and skills.

From 4-6pm a Fire Ceremony will be held with a traditional Bundjalung smoking to honour the spirit of the land and it’s traditional custodians. All participants will be invited to write their vision for the next 20 years for the fire ceremony and end in a joyous fire display by the Nimbin fire troupe.
The Expo/Open day and fire ceremony entrance is by donation.
Following the fire ceremony, the evening show will begin. Cover charge for the evening is $15/$10 for a great line up of bands: Mystic Beats, Pagan Love Cult, Robyn Francis (EarthSong), Sara McCafferty, Brommers, SHE (Sisters Healing Earth), plus DJs, lighting installations by Kaleidescope Chris, warming camfires. It’s Fancy dress and masks — come as your favourite earthling or mythical being. Have fun creating your own mask at the afternoon mask-making workshop. Door prizes.
The cafe will be open again in the evening 6-10pm with delicious meals for veg and ethical omnivores. Hot drinks and sweets available till midnight.
